Physical Description:
Akysa
is a beautiful women with long blond hair. She is averagly curvy and anything
but a typical doctor. She keeps herself in good condition, and has average-sized
breasts.
Interests & Hobbies: improving her medical skills, cybernetics, computer systems
Professional History: Akysa worked for one of the large Imperial medical facilities on Coruscant, where she worked in a number of departments. She found herself shuffled between the surgery wards, cybernetics research labs and the emergency room, where her quick-thinking and forcefulness was valued, often. Akysa also wrote a number of papers that appeared in well-renowned medical journals. She was considered to be one of the leading specialists in the use of advancing cybernetics to improve the recovery of limb loss. That was until she ran afoul of Imperial non-human hating doctrine, and was pushed out of her job. She now works as a ship's doctor.
Background: Akysa was born into a fairly-high up noble family in Kuat City on the planet Kuat. Her father was an administrator in Kuat Drive Yards, and her mother was a ship designer. Akysa did not have any needs or wants unfulfilled as she grew up, and was very privledged.
From a young age, she seemed to be interested in medicine, and her parents directed her towards it, since a good doctor could do very well in research.
She completed schooling with high marks, and was accepted into an elite medical training school on Coruscant at the age of 18. Heading there, she started a six year biomedical science & medical bachelor's degree, where she also specialised in surgery & cybernetics.
When
she finished her degree, she completed a one year internship at very respected
research hospital on Coruscant. After that, she was accepted to work at the same
hospital. Akysa became very well known in the medical circles, rising up in
position quite fast.
While working in cybernetics, she learnt quite quickly how to use computers, and secretly practised her slicing skills until she was very good.
However, it was also well known that she had issues with Imperial doctrine, and it only took about four years before her opinions became too much. Before she knew it, she was pushed out of the hospital and found that the Imperial medical services blacklisted her throughout known space.
No one would hire her at any reputable facility, not even on Kuat. She also found that her family had reluctantly forced to disown her.
With no where else to go, she managed to find a little bit of work in various backyard facilities, but did not like it. She found that some of her family were able to secretly slip a one-off monetary boost her way, but there would be no more ever. She quickly became street-wise.
Heading to the ship-yards, she did some investigations and finally managed to find a job as ship's doctor on a trading space transport, Serenity. One of the things she has brought with her aboard is an older MD-0 mobile medical droid, KY-374. It is not as good as a more recent 2-1B droid, but is an adequate assistant. Since she thought the ship really needed some help and the ship's engineer seemed to be more of the sort to jump in sack with anyone willing & treated the ship like a pet then to keep things going, Akysa sent word to her family, begging for one of the KDY-4 series Tech Droids. One arrived recently with the designation of X11-25-Beta, and has been sent down to Engineering to help.
Personality: Akysa
is a very intelligent woman. She doesn't really think much of stupid people.
Sometimes, she can come off very aroggant and condescending.
She tries not to show weakness to others, and really hates being used. She keeps to herself and some of her colleagues referred to her as Miss Frigid.
She never really had any time for men, and deep down, she feels saddened by it. She just didn't have much time to look, and the ones who did pay attention just wanted to get into her pants as fast as possible.
She is a
bit shy around men too, which she tries to hide behind bravado - unless she is
treating them, which allows her clinical side to work. She hasn't really ever
been with any.
Vehicle of Choice: Akysa doesn't have any vehicle.
Base Of Operations: Akysa is currently working as a doctor on Serenity.
Form Of Dress: Akysa tends to dress in non-revealing clothing around others, because of shyness.
In her quarters, she goes quite skimpy.
Weapons of Choice: As a doctor, Akysa takes her medical beliefs very strongly. She will not do anything to kill others unless she has to in self-defense.
She does know how to use a blaster pistol, but will only use stun. She also knows some defensive martial arts.
Superhuman Powers or Augmentations to Body: No force skills. Believes it is just stories. No augmentations.
Abilities: Akysa is a well-trained doctor, specialising in surgery & cybernetics. She can perform various procedures as needed, ranging from rudimentary to full-on surgery techniques.
As a slicer, Akysa can break into mechanical & electronic systems, as well as hack into computer systems.
Special Notes: None.
