Physical Description: At first glance, Bloodfyre's an attractive humanoid female with long raven wing black hair and deep violet eyes. Only upon closer notice will anyone possibly see her fangs and claws. She does have a pair of human sized batlike wings that sprout from her back, however the left does have a bit of a droop that's noticeable to the observant viewer.
Professional History: Bloodfyre the Smuggler's been around for a painfully long time, word of her had been around since the days of the Old Republic, and it probably wouldn't surprise any if she's been around long before that as well. She has a steady reputation as a smuggler, mostly with the Hutts.
She is a free smuggler, not really affiliated with one particular crime faction.
Currently she's believed to be working alone, but in the past has been seen with an astromech droid, a Twi'lek female, and an unknown heavily hooded humanoid as co-pilots.
Background: Tzamiia Bloodfyre bani Lasombrae was born to a rather large family on Noctembaal.
Noctembaali are a humanoid race that are capable of natural flight
through having batlike wings that grow from their back shortly after birth. These wings can generate enough lift from wingflap to hold 300lb (including one's own weight), and cruising speed averages 70mph, but can reach diving swoop speeds of 180mph. Noctembaali can fly at 150mph without the help of a tail wind for up to a half hour at a crack before becoming tired. Though they generally fly beneath the height of the clouds (6,500ft), they can reach a height of 10,000ft with little effort. With severe strain they can attain the heights recorded altitude of a bird in flight (African goose 29,000ft if I'm not mistaken) and that's only for several minutes. They can also fly non-stop on their own power for roughly 12hrs before they have to stop to rest.
Noctembaali are noted for being very sensitive to sunlight and all wear a special sunscreen to interact with daylight tolerant situations. Without it, they would suffer 3rd degree burns. Furthermore, they also possess retractable fangs and claws, and their eyes shift to a yellow-orange when emotional. All have varying degrees of heightened senses, and suffer the effects of sudden strong stimuli. Those born defective or who develop defects such as lack of wings/fangs/claws are outcast to keep the race pure.
Artists and scientists are highly regarded in their society, and they are extremely long lived with 1000 years of age being commonly reached. Most if not all retire from careers when they reach 500, and begin to show the signs of old age. The exception to this are the Koldzuun, their variant of Jedi.
The Noctembaali are very reclusive, last whispers of them were around before the defeat of the Sith by the Jedi. Few do wander the stars, having been outcast from their world for either breaking the laws, or being born defective. They do need select trace element nutrients that are common on their world for their diet, and in the case of outcasts, they are given a supply of supplements to make do for as long as they can make them last.
The Koldzuun walk a dangerous line between what is considered Jedi and Sith. They don't know of the Force as the Jedi do, for them it is Irr'jahk and they don't separate what is commonly known as Jedi and Sith. To them, it is all from Irr'jahk. Unions between Koldzuun are encouraged, while unions with non-Koldzuun must be approved. They also do not use lightsabres, instead they go into seclusion and elaborately forge ornate silvery swords with part of their living Force which is as durable as a lightsaber, but obviously not as concealable. Masters or E'spidoni tend to carry a proper sword and a matching short sword for two handed combat.
Overall, Tzamiia's upbringing was normal, she was discovered to have the Koldzuun gifts and her training had just begun. She was quite happy with this life until her older brother, Orolin was outcast for consorting with an outworlder who'd crashed on to the planet. The outcast had been a smuggler who through Orolin stole some priceless artwork and Orolin was made to pay the price once his paramour fled the planet. Tzamiia was terribly fond of her older brother and she stowed away on the ship that was carrying him to his exile.
It wasn't until he approached the first Republic planet that he noticed his baby sister had stowed away, and there was no way for him to head back to return the child home.
The two made do in what to them was a completely alien existence. Years passed and they ended up in the criminal underworld where Orolin became a smuggler of some skill, he also began to drink heavily and accrued a mountain of debt to the Hutts. During this time, Tzamiia began to perform more of his runs as he was too drunk to function at times and Orolin was eventually killed in a bar brawl.
Tzamiia pretty much picked up the business from him and has been making do as she goes along. She also began going by just her family name of Bloodfyre, considering Tzamiia the youngling had been long dead in her eyes.
From her brother, she does have an unease around Jedi while she does figure them to be some sort of Koldzuun, and fears what she would be considered by them as they would most likely consider her a rogue of sorts. Her left wing was injured during a run where her illicit cargo was almost captured by pirates, and never quite healed right. It does affect her flight endurance (she can't sustain the maximum heights and durations for longer than a few minutes so she keeps to half the ranges) and does ache in damp weather.
Personality: To most, Bloodfyre's rather quiet and aloof, but the rare few who have gotten close to her over the long years have seen the faces she doesn't show to the others. She is rather lonely, and in select moments has regretted her impulsive childish action of following her older brother. It deeply pains her that she can never return to her homeworld, and as it is, the heavily forested mountains and silvery running streams are becoming hazy memories in her mind.
When the loneliness gets too much for her, she's taken on a co-pilot who usually ends up as either a companion or lover, and they've so far remained with her until they pass away when old age comes.
Each loss has weighed heavily on her as well, so as it currently stands, she has been debating just dealing with solitude rather than grow close to someone and watch them age and pass away.
Vehicle Of Choice: A tweaked Starwind class Pleasure Yacht, named Firewind. Augmentations to the ship are hidden cargo holds, and a thermal grenade launcher. Currently there's no ammo for the grenade launcher. There is also some ongoing work on improving the hyperdrive speed, but lack of funds has stopped the work.
Base Of Operations: Her ship.
Weapons: Two blasters. One is snub nosed and hidden in a boot, the other is worn in a holster at her belt.
Form Of Dress: Alternates between a black bodysuit of sorts or just a t-shirt, denim or leather pants, gloves, a utility belt (holds cigarettes, nutrient supplements, a lighter, blaster holster, sunglasses and space for more things if she finds them), and boots that are the only footgear she wears. This is usually covered by a flowing cloak and hood to protect her skin from the assorted worlds suns.
Augmentations to Body: None other than her naturally born fangs, wings, and claws.
Abilities: Bloodfyre's Jedi like skills are still in the learning stage. The only lessons she had in them was before she followed her brother. She is able to sense things, levitate small things (equal to a blaster pistol's weight) through concentration, and is still getting the gist of manipulating weaker minds (She did it once under duress). With time and training, her skills could improve, but the trick is getting someone to teach her.
In essence, she pretty much just uses her ability to navigate very well.
